Heartsaver Courses

Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED Courses are geared for individuals with limited or no medical training who need a course completion card in First Aid, CPR, and AED use to meet job, regulatory, and/or other requirements. Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive a course completion ecard that is valid for two years. Please contact your employer or requesting agency to ensure that you are selecting the correct course for your needs.

Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, & AED with Stop the Bleed and Narcan Training

The AHA Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED course trains participants to provide first aid skills, perform CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This program included the adult, child, and infant components and reflects the science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).  In addition, participants receive Stop the Bleed and Narcan Response Training as part of this course.

This course is ideal for students who prefer a blended learning experience. This course is taught by knowledgeable pre-hospital and medical care providers who can share their real-world experience. An American Heart Association ecard and ecertificate are issued upon successful course completion. This skills check option is only available to participants who have completed the AHA Online HS FA CPR & AED Part 1 (a separate charge of $20.50) and possess an AHA Online HS FA CPR & AED Part 1 Certificate of Completion. You may purchase access to the AHA Online HSFA CPR & AED Part 1 course here.

Heartsaver First Aid *Skills Check*

For students who wish to complete a blended course option, the American Heart Association offers the Online First Aid Part 1 course with an in-person skills testing session.  This option provides added flexibility and is taught by knowledgeable pre-hospital and medical care providers who can share their real-world experience.  An American Heart Association ecard and ecertificate are issued upon successful course completion. Students must meet in-person with an instructor to demonstrate their skills before an American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid card may be issued. This skills check option is only available to participants who have completed the AHA Online Heartsaver First Aid Part 1 (a separate $16.00 charge) and possess an AHA Online HS FA Part 1 Certificate of Completion.
